The Effect on the Improvement of Eye Function in Refractive Amblyopia with Visual Sence Vision Therapy using Optical Prism and Lens

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose: This study investigated the effect of optical prism and lens on the enhancement of eye function when performing vision therapy.
Methods: In this study, we performed vision therapy in corrected visual acuity 0.55±0.19 in 15 children to expand the disjunctive movement and accommodative system of eye using the image movement by the optical prism and the characteristic of lens focus change.
Results: The results showed that the corrected visual acuity improved by 0.95±0.05 with the improvement of the accommodation and disjunctive movement by 2.88±0.90 D (diopter) and 18.33±4.85 Δ (prism), respectively.
Conclusions: It was confirmed that vision therapy with visual sense using prism and lens can improve refractive amblyopia within a relatively short period of time around 63.33±48.38 days and this has a great effect on extension of intraocular optics.
